Qwest. Check!

The Galaxy played a tough game against the Seattle Sounders yesterday in a stadium that I consider the hardest stadium to play at as an away team in Major League Soccer, Qwest Field. The Galaxy came out victorious with a 1-0 win over Seattle in the away leg of the first round of the 2010 MLS Playoffs. Now the Galaxy will return home next Sunday to play the Sounders at home. Things look very promising for the Galaxy to move on to the next round of playoffs on their march to the MLS Cup.

My top players of the game would be Landon Donovan and David Beckham. These guys didn’t stop once the whole game and not only pressed hard offensively, but stepped up when the defense need them.

Another player that I kept mt eye on was Dema Kovalenko. A great central defensive midfielder during this game. He’s the Galaxy’s bad ass and he made sure that he wasn’t going to back down against the very physical Seattle midfield. Props to Dema on a solid game and never giving up. Shout out to Edson Buddle with the games only goal! You can see the highlights of this goal here.

Next Sunday should be another hard fight but ultimately I believe the Galaxy with prevail at the Home Depot Center. Go Galaxy!
