Torres is a Blue.
Today was a very interesting day for this Chelsea FC fan who despises Liverpool FC and has always hated Fernando Torres. Roman Abramovich, Chelsea’s owner, reached in his pocket, pulled out $80 million and Western Unioned it to Liverpool. In return a girlie looking Spaniard dude headed down to Stamford Bridge for a physical. So what does this mean to me you ask? A Chelsea FC fan who has always talked smack about Torres? Well… it means I have to become a Fernando Torres fan. It’s that simple. It may be hard but I think I can get passed it and grow to love El Niño. Yeah, I guess that’s his nickname. We’ll have to work on that.
So what does this mean for Chelsea FC? It means a lot. If Torres can score goals for the Blues, which he will, pairing him with Drogba can make for a solid team. I’m not saying this will propel Chelsea FC back to the top of the EPL table, but it could definitely help. To be honest I can’t wait to watch his first game as a Blue. Oh and did I mention his first game playing at Stanford Bridge will be against Liverpool FC? That’ll be fun!
